Boat Usage

Become a Boat Usage Member

The MDI Community Sailing Center is open to everyone interested in learning to sail and to those who are already experienced sailors who wish to use our fleet of boats. If you're an experienced sailor but new to us, we’d like to invite you to become a member.

To become a boat usage member and get access to our sailboat fleet email us with some details about yourself and your sailing experience. From there, we’ll schedule a sailing proficiency test given by one of our U.S. Sailing Certified instructors. The instructor will monitor from a motorboat while you demonstrate the ability to complete all skills/tasks on the list below. The test will be completed in a Cape Cod Bullseye and can be taken individually or with members of your family/household on board with you. The test must be completed before you register and pay the registration fee. There is a one-time, non-refundable $50 test fee, which will be paid on the day of your test.
